As a result of today's explosion of the OSCE patrol car in the Lugansk region, a US citizen was killed, stated Alexander Hug, deputy head of the OSCE mission in Ukraine, at a briefing.
Wounded observers, according to Hug, were taken to a hospital in occupied Lugansk. Another three OSCE members were sent to the Organization's base in the Luhansk region.
Also, Hug said that the road on which the explosion occurred was previously used by local residents and the OSCE patrols, therefore there should not be mines on it.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of the explosion a British citizen was killed, such information was given by the People's Deputy Anton Gerashchenko.
We recall, today, on April 23, about 10:17, while carrying out patroling in the vicinity of the Prishib settlement, at the territory of ORDO, the car of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission was blown up on a mine. As a result of the incident, one OSCE official was killed and two others were injured.
