The UN Monitoring Mission recorded 55 civilian deaths in Donbas in 2018, as Fiona Frazer, the Head of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights during the 25th report, 112.ua informs.
“In 2018, we have recorded 279 victims among the civilians – 55 died and 224 got injured,” the report says.
Frazer noted that this was half as many victims among civilians in 2017, and the lowest figure over the entire period of the conflict.
The report also says that on November 16, 2018 – February 15, 2019 the smallest number of victims among the civilians was recorded over the entire conflict period. In particular, a man and a woman died, 11 men and three women were injured.
As it was reported, according to the UN Monitoring Mission on human rights, since the beginning of the armed conflict in Donbas in April 2014, 12,800 – 13,000 people died.
