Blocking railway tracks in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried by ATO veterans may entail humanitarian consequences and social tensions in the region. This is stated in the report of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations (UN).
"The blockade of the railway by Ukrainian Armed Forces veterans that are still going on the demarcation line is a growing concern because it can exacerbate existing vulnerabilities and entail humanitarian consequences and social tensions. Financial losses, higher unemployment, lower efficiency of damaged heating plants are some of the possible consequences of the blockade", reads the document.
The UN said that as of February 13 movement of freight trains is suspended on three points: Svitlanove, Fenolna and Artemivsk-2.
