UN: 30,346 people killed and injured in Donbas conflict
Over 9,000 people have been killed and over 21,000 have been injured
So far 30,346 people have been killed and injured in Donbas conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The data have been announce by the assistant of the Secretary General for human rights Ivan Shymonovych during his speech on the 31st session of the UN Council for human rights.
He mentioned that over 9,000 people have been killed and over 21,000 have been injured.
According to Shymonovych, the number of civilians killed or injured in military operations in Donbas has reduced over the last months. Although people along the line of contact are still under threat.
UN representative also stated that ceasefire in eastern Ukraine is threatened.
Shymonovych added that recently there has been no “large scale chaotic shelling of residential areas”, although military equipment along the line of contact still threatens lives of many people.
