Ukrainian tank man sentenced to 18 years in jail in occupied Donetsk

Tank man of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Bohdan Pantyushenko is sentenced to 18 years in jail, as Novosti Donbassa reported citing the so-called "prosecutor’s office" of Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Pantyushenko is accused of blowing up the bridge on Donetsk-Avdiivka road. The sentence has come into force,” the message said.

Commander of the tank of 1st detached tank brigade with nickname Bronia (Armor) Bohdan Pantyushenko stays in captivity of DPR militants since January 18, 2015. He was captured during the operation near Spartak village, which is situated near Donetsk Airport.

According to the wife of the tank man, before the exchange in December 2017, the name of Pantyushenko was ruled out from the list “by that (mercenary, - 112 International) side without explanations”. Later, DPR refused to exchange Ukrainian soldier again.

As we reported, the disengagement of the forces in Zolote and Petrovske in Donbas will begin on Monday, October 7.
