Ukrainian soldiers shot down the Russian UAV in Donbas conflict zone

In the Donbas conflict area, servicemen of the air defense unit shot down the Russian-made UAV. This is reported by the press center of the antiterrorist operation headquarters in Facebook.

"In the area of Donbas conflict, the air defense unit shot down a Russian-made UAV of the Orlan-10 type. Since the beginning of the cease-fire (December 23), this is the third downed UAV of this type, "the report said.

It is noted that Orlan-10 is an integral part of the air reconnaissance, surveillance and monitoring complex. UAV is equipped with a system of electronic warfare, a thermal imager, photo and video equipment. It is able to create terrain maps in 3D.

Earlier Turchynov instructed Ukrainian military leadership to destroy Russian UAVs illegally crossing the state border. And since the beginning of 2017, the military servicemen recorded 72 incidents of launching unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of military units. On the fact of such actions 26 persons who worked with UAV were detained.
