In Donbas conflict zone a Ukrainian soldier was hit by a rifle grenade which stuck in his leg but didn’t detonate. Surgeons and sappers got it out at the Mariupol hospital, as the Ukrainian Army HQ reported.
“Ukrainian soldier Dmitry from Kahovka suffered from an injury. Rifle grenade hit his left leg, where it got stuck, but, luckily, didn’t detonate,” the message informs.
The soldier was urgently evacuated, where he received first aid. And when he was brought to the hospital in Mariupol, surgeons and sappers conducted a unique surgery on removing and demining the ordnance.
