On September 23, Russian-backed forces opened fire 24 times on positions of the Ukrainian soldiers. The gunfire resulted in the two fighters being wounded.

Comparing with the previous report, the number of explosions has increased six times, as the OSCE mission reported about 22 explosions on September 20.
