"On March 12, not far from Maryinka, the armed formations of the Russian Federation once again fired at the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. As a result of hostile sniper fire, one Ukrainian soldier received injuries incompatible with life," the message reads.
The report notes that the OSCE representatives were notified of the facts of ceasefire violation through the Ukrainian side in the JCCC.
Meanwhile, militants illegally detain 268 Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Another 114 Ukrainian citizens are held captive in the occupied Crimea and in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Ukrainian ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova on her Facebook page.
"Today, 268 citizens of Ukraine are in illegal detention in the temporarily occupied part of Donbas, and 114 of our citizens are still being illegally detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Most of them, namely 78, are Crimean Tatars," Lyudmiyla Denisova said.
