Ukrainian soldier dies in Dnipro hospital

Ukrainian soldier, who was seriously injured near Shyrokyne, died in Dnipro hospital on August 12, as the doctor of Dnipro hospital named after Serhiy Mechnikov reported on Facebook.

“His soul was fighting for three days. He did not ask for help. The injury was incompatible with life. His brain was destroyed, total ischemia, a skull was bust. The bullet entered his forehead and went out from his neck. Zero pressure, eyes were looking into the cell – the third stage of coma. The doctors were hoping for a miracle, they did not leave the fighter, they connected all the tracking machines, correcting all the vital signs, medical ventilator. Surgery is impossible… Dmytro died yesterday evening,” the doctor wrote.

According to Ryahenko, Dmytro’s heart had stopped three times, but the resuscitators managed to deal with that.

Dmytro Dashkovets served in the 95th detached commando squad. In 2004-2005, he served in peacekeeping forces in Iraq. He was born in Miropol, Zhytomyr region. He had a wife and child.

On August 9 he was injured and evacuated to Dnipro. He was in a coma.
