September 6, near Novhorodske, an unknown explosive device blew up a vehicle of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of the explosion, two soldiers were injured, one of them died today. The press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

"We are sad to inform you that today one of the wounded soldiers died from the burns received after the resuscitation. The command of the Joint Forces expresses sincere and deep condolences to the family of the deceased soldier," the ministry said in a statement.

As we reported before, the escalation in Donbas occurred on September 6 after the truce declaration on July 27. Russian occupants opened fire at Ukrainian positions near Prychepylivka. One of the Ukrainian fighters lost his life in combat.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba initiated the urgent meeting with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov - amidst the escalation that is observed in Donbas. Ukrainian MFA initiated the conversation to discuss the situation and the ways to solve it.
