Ukrainian representatives have once again raised the issue of ICRC’s access to prisons on the occupied territories during the Trilateral meeting in Minsk. This was reported by Iryna Gerashchenko, the representative in humanitarian sub-group of the Trilateral Contact Group, on her Facebook page.

"Ukrainian side has once again raised the issue of immediate ICRC access to prisons in the occupied territories, we demand that prisoners should have possibility to receive letters, parcels, call their family. There is no explanation why this question is blocked in the framework of Minsk discussion over 2 years already (while we raise this question every time), why ICRC can’t deliver letters, why these guys can’t call their family for 9 months already. And only those who are promoted by Moscow receive such access, are able to deliver letters and parcels," Iryna Gerashchenko said.
