Serviceman of Ukraine's Armed Forces who was wounded near Khutir Vilny (Donbas combat zone) on January 25 is stable and grave. Press office of the Command of Medical Forces reported that on Tuesday evening.
The man suffered a tough injury, as the bullet hit the right side of his chest and damaged his right lung. The wound resulted in bleeding and aerothorax. The doctors examined the patient and ran the CT; then, he had a surgery.
"As of [Tuesday] morning, the patient is in stable grave condition; he's conscious, the fight lung functionality is satisfactory. No bleeding observed. He is being treated so as to recover and return to active service", said Lt.Col. Serhiy Shypilov, the surgeon of the Northern operation region.
As is known, the security subgroup of Minsk contact group gathered on an urgent session on January 25 because of the incident, in which the Ukrainian military man was wounded in combat. On that day, Russian occupants breached the ceasefire in Donbas five times. In the area of Khutir Vilny, militants fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. This resulted in combat injury for one Ukrainian serviceman.
