As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was killed.

Near Shyrokyne and Vodyane, the occupants fired from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Near Verkhnyotoretske, the enemy opened aimed fire at Ukrainian positions, using automatic grenade launchers.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has the opportunity to regain control over the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions within the next decade. This opinion was voiced by member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas Serhiy Harmash on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

“It seems to me that the current government believes in this possibility, it sees the changing geopolitical and economic conditions in Russia and is moving a little towards this. I don’t want to make predictions, but I think the real prospect is that we have at least the next 10 years to liberate Donbas,” Harmash said.

He stressed that the frozen conflict is unprofitable for Ukraine.
