A Ukrainian trooper deceased in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. His remains were found in the forest near Schastya, Luhansk region, and identified after the DNA expertise. According to Vinnytsia regional state administration, it was Serhiy Sorochynsky.
"The remains of deceased soldier Serhiy Sorochynsky (...) were identified by the DNA profie of his mother in February 2021", reads the message.
There's no information about the time of death of the serviceman.
According to the forensics' report, the body took damage that is typical for explosive traumas. The actual details are being investigated.
Serhiy Sorochynskywas born in 1984. He and his family resided in Budky village, Vinnystia region. He was enlisted for military service in April 2018. The fighter left behind his wife and two little children.
Ukraine has provided buses for the transfer of the citizens through the demarcation line at Zolote and Shchastya checkpoints; however, the Russian side has refused to open these checkpoints as the Ukrainian delegation at the Trilateral Contact Group reported on Telegram.
“Starting from February 24, Ukraine has provided buses for transfer of the citizens through the demarcation line at Zolote and Shchastya checkpoints. We have been waiting for the response of the Russian side for a week…The Russian side has refused to open the checkpoints from its side one more time,” the message said.
