The political prisoner refuses from dates and hopes for the exchange

Oleh Sentsov, the Ukrainian prisoner from Crimea called home from the Russian prison in Labytnangi where he serves the imprisonment.  Natalia Kaplan, the sister of Sentsov reported this on Facebook.

'Oleg called for the first time from Labytnangi. He said that he does need money and deliver. He still refused from the dates. He said: I wait for other', Kaplan said.

She also added that she tried to explain Sentsov that he is a political prisoner and the procedure of the prisoners' exchange is not applied to him during their three-minute talk.

As it is known, Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov and Crimean activist Oleksandr Kolchenko were detained by the Russian FSB in the annexed Crimea. Both were taken to Russia. Sentsov was charged with preparing a terrorist act in Crimea and sentenced to 20 years in the high-security penal colony. Kolchenko was sentenced to ten-years-long imprisonment.
