Militants used weapons of prohibited calibers

Over the past day pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire ten times using weapons of prohibited calibers. This is reported by the JFO headquarters.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired at the Ukrainian positions twice.

From mortars of 120 mm caliber enemy attacked Ukraine’s positions in the area of Pavlopil and Vodyane; from 82 mm mortars - near Pishevik; from anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms - near Lebedynske; from automatic grenade launchers and small arms - in the area of Verkhnyotoretske; from large-caliber machine guns - near Avdiivka, Opytne and Novoselivka-2.

In the Donetsk sector militants used 82 mm mortars firing at positions near Zolote 4; and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms to attack our defenders near Mayorske.

No casualties among the Ukrainian military reported as a result of enemy shelling; among the occupiers, three militants were killed and another one was wounded.

Since the beginning of the current day, the militants have violated the ceasefire 4 times.

Earlier the LNR militant was detained by the Ukrainian servicemen in the Luhansk region. This is reported by the National police of the region.

From March to June 2015, the detainee was a scout for invaders and lived in the city of Rovenky, Luhansk region.

On April 19, a 46-year-old LNR fighter was detained at the Petropavlivka checkpoint by the fighters of the Luhansk-1 battalion checking documents of the bus passengers.

The man was transferred to Security Service employees.
