The Parliament of Ukraine will consider the draft law ‘On peculiarities of the state policy on the provision of the state sovereignty of Ukraine over occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions' on December 19-22. Andry Paruby, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine claimed this at the coordination board broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
‘The draft law will be recommended next week after the consultations, particularly with the diplomats. Possibly we will begin the plenary week with it because it is quite large-scale and includes about 700 amendments and we will need a full day for this. It is recommended to consider it in the peaceful situation but not in the pre-budget atmosphere’, Paruby said.
223 MPs supported the draft law 'On reintegration of Donbas' in the first reading in October. It was expected that the committee will finish the consideration of the draft law on November 15 and will submit the document to the Verkhovna Rada next day.
Moreover, the date of the beginning of the aggression of Russia against Ukraine was added to the draft law and it is a date of the annexation of Crimea.
