On February 2, the pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire in Donbas conflict zone six times. As a result of the hostilities, one Ukrainian fighter was injured, the press center of the Joint Forces operation reports.
“In the action zone of the North operational grouping, mercenaries fired at positions of the Ukrainian military, attacking the vicinities of the village of Luhanske from small arms. Near the village of Travneve, they opened fire twice, using grenade launchers. Also, positions of our troops came under fire from automatic grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns in Vilny Khutir. In the action zone of the East operational grouping the enemy fired at the positions of our defenders, using small arms near the village of Shyrokyne and large-caliber machine guns near Krasnohorivka settlement ", the statement said.
It is noted that as a result of the attacks, one soldier of the Joint Forces was wounded.
Earlier, pro-Russian militants fired at a funeral bus with the body of the deceased inside. This is reported by the Ukrainian side of the Joint Coordination and Control Center, as quoted by the headquarters of the Joint Forces operation.
"Today at 12:30, a funeral was held in Chermalyk village (northeast of Mariupol). When the body of the deceased was transported to the cemetery, a civilian ritual service bus with "Ritual services" stickers on its sides was attacked. The shelling of small arms was carried out by the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their mercenaries. At the same time, several bullet holes were spotted on the right side of the bus. Fortunately, the bullets did not hit the passengers,” the statement reads.
