The Ukrainian military conducted a tailwind exercise with live fire to repel the advanced forces of the enemy’s landing force. The drills took place near the coast of the Sea of Azov, in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. The press center of the JFO headquarters reports that.
The main objective of the tactical group "Mariupol" was to prevent the landing of the main assault group of the enemy, throwing the enemy back into the sea and destroying him during the retreat.
In total, about 400 personnel, five ships and boats, 25 units of various artillery systems, including MLRS, 13 armored fighting vehicles (tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and various types of armored vehicles), two Mi-8 and one Mi-14 helicopters were involved, as well as two Su-25 attack aircraft and two MiG-29 fighters.
