The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine hails the adoption of the resolution that condemns the occupation of Crimea and aggression in Donbas by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated this at the official website.
‘It is important that the resolution on ‘Restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine’ condemns the temporary occupation of Crime by Crimea and Sevastopil , the continuation of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and Donbas and system nonfulfillment of the previous resolutions by the aggressor country’, MFA claimed.
Also, the Foreign Ministry called the opposition of the Russian delegation to be the disrespect of the international law.
‘The attempts of the parliamentary delegation of Russia to oppose the submission of the Ukrainian projects for consideration of the parliamentarians of the member-countries of the OSCE PA became the next evidence of the disregard of the key principles of the OSCE according to the Helsinki Accords of 1975 and the deliberate neglect of the international law norms, unwilling to stick to the taken responsibilities within international documents, including the Minsk Agreements by Russia’, MFA claimed.
The Ukrainian side demanded from Russia to stop the occupation of Crimea and Sevastopil and fulfill the obligation according to the Minsk Agreements
The Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE adopted the resolution that includes the point on de-occupation of Crimea and Donbas. The text of the amendment ‘Restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine’ was introduced by the report of the representative of the Ukrainian side and the Head of Petro Poroshenko Bloc Artur Gerasimov.
