The Ukrainian mission was prevented from inspecting the stationing of artillery systems in military units of Rostov region, Russia – not far from the Ukraine-Russia state border. Olexiy Vershyhora, the leader of the Ukrainian-Danish-Canadian military mission, said this at a briefing on Tuesday.

‘We spotted a lot of artillery systems of various kinds; however, the security guards denied access to this object and even forbade taking photos’, he said.

Vershyhora added that these artillery systems were possibly used to supply Russia’s 150th Motorized Rifle Division and the illegal units of pro-Russian militants in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The official also said that the active movement of military vehicles is reported in the areas adjacent to Rostov region.

Previously, Russia allowed Ukrainian inspection to visit military units in one of districts of Rostov region; the inspected area made about 16,000 square kilometers.
