Ukrainian govt plans to create territorial defense brigade in Donetsk region

territorial defense unit will appear in Donetsk region. The brigade's main task will be to join efforts with the Ukrainian army in case the pro-Kremlin militants get too aggressive and the combat situation gets out of control. Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk regional civil and military administration posted this on Facebook.  

The contact detachments of the brigade will be placed in the towns of Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut. Another two will be stationed in Mariupol.  

Oleksandr Sergeev, the chief military enlistment officer of Donetsk region claimed that the unit's commander will be the combat officer, the veteran of the Donbas conflict. According to Sergeev, the newly-shaped units are supposed to be equal to the regular army units in terms of training and armament. 

The funds will be allocated from the local and regional budgets; the municipal budgets and those of the united territorial communities will pay most of the sum, which totally makes almost USD 900,000.
