The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine demanded from the Russian authorities in annexed Crimea to provide the medical aid to Bekir Dehermenji, the 57-year-old Crimean Tatar activist detained on November 23 on the so-called case of money extortion that is at the resuscitation department. Mariana Betsa, the spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry reported this at Twitter.
'Bekir Dehermenji was illegally detained by the occupant. He is at the critical condition. We demand to provide him with the medical aid. We express the protest to Russia', she wrote.
As we reported the searches and detentions at the houses of the Crimean Tatars occurred at a few places in Crimea due to the case of the extortion of money from the citizen of Turkey. Bekir Dehermenji, Asan Chapukh, Kyazim Ametov, Kyazim Ametov and Kurseit Abdullaev were detained.
It was reported that Dehermenji got to the resuscitation department from the detention center on December 14 and he was not provided with the medical aid.
