On September 27, Russian mercenaries attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas eight times. In most cases, they opened adjusted fire; none of the Ukrainian defenders were wounded or killed in action. The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported this on Thursday evening.
The enemy armed units opened fire from IFVs, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns, and small arms; skirmishes were observed in Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Novotroitske, Hnutove, and Vodyane. Militants did not open fire from any of Minsk-banned weapons, mortars or artillery.
As we reported earlier, the entry-exit checkpoint in Novotroitske, Donetsk region, undergoes reconstruction; this causes temporary limitation of transport capacity. The press service of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook.
'Under the government's orders, Novotroitske entry-exit checkpoint currently undergoes reconstruction works and improvement of the infrastructure - so as to improve the conditions of crossing the checkpoint', reads the message.
The government asks citizens to be patient and to excuse any inconveniences that may occur during the works.
