The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group called on Russia to speed up preparations for the exchange of prisoners. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov, the delegation's press service reports.
According to him, at the last meeting of the TCG, the Ukrainian side called on Russia to accelerate preparations for the next stage of the simultaneous mutual release of persons held in connection with the conflict and to unblock the work of the checkpoint from the Russian side.
"The Ukrainian delegation once again reminded that the corresponding security guarantees were provided to Ukraine on August 31 sequentially and additionally - confirmed today," Reznikov noted.
In addition, he said that on September 2, the first meeting of the expert group on environmental risks was held within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group.
As we reported earlier, "leaders" of the so-called "Donetsk People’s Republic" and "Luhansk People’s Republic" Denys Pushylin and Leonid Pasichnyk signed an agreement on the creation of a "single customs territory."
