On April 3, the court of occupied Crimea controlled by Kremlin remanded Nariman Memedeminov in the custody until May 16, 2018. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine condemned this decision and demands his release as Mariana Betsa, the spokeswoman of the MFA reported on Twitter.
'We strongly condemn the systematic persecution of Crimean Tatar activists. Again we demand the release of journalist Memedeminov', she wrote.
Earlier Crimean Solidarity reported on Facebook that Nariman Memedeminov will remain arrested until May 16, 2018. The court session took place in the closed regime.
It is specified that Memedeminov was detained on March 22. The officers of the occupation law enforcement bodies held the search at the home of Memedeminov in Kholmovka village, Bakhchysarai district.
As it was reported earlier, on March 23, Kyiv district court of Simferopol, controlled by the Kremlin, arrested Memedeminov for two months.
