Counterintelligence of Ukraine's SBU, the State Security Service, has moved the valuable informant from the occupied territory of Donbas. The individual is an ex-DNR militant who provided the Ukrainian agency with information about Russian military support for the mercenaries. The press office of the SBU reported that on September 7.

According to the message, the man served with a tank battalion of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". The actual information he provided concerned the participation of the Russian military in the coordination of actions of mercenaries, military vehicle movement from Russia, training of mercenaries by instructors from the Russian Federation - specifically, in Russia.

Earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba initiated the urgent meeting with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov - amidst the escalation that is observed in Donbas. Kuleba himself posted that on Facebook.

It is noted that the official initiated the conversation to discuss the situation and the ways to solve it.

"Today, the illegal armed formations committed provocations in the Joint Forces Operation area, where one Ukrainian serviceman perished and one more was wounded. These are the obvious attempts to disrupt the ceasefire and to create significant obstacles for the process of peaceful regulation in general. I insist: Ukraine stands for an unconditional and irrevocable commitment to the ceasefire. The path to peace and de-occupation of our territories is a thorny one, but it begins exactly when the guns are silent", Kuleba said.
