On June 1, entry-exit checkpoints in the area of Joint Forces Operation switch to the summertime working mode. Pedestrians and vehicles will be allowed to pass from 6 a.m. till 8 p.m. The press office of the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on Monday.
The list of checkpoints includes Zolote, Mayorske, Mariinka, Novotroitske, Hnutove, and Stanytsia Luhanska.
Previously, the reports said that the checkpoints located on the contact line with the militant-controlled area of Donbas would supposedly stay closed until June 22 - because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Permissions to pass checkpoints could be granted, however - as long as citizens could prove they faced critical life circumstances and could show respective documents.
As we reported, Ukraine opened all international checkpoints, except the ones with the Russian Federation and Belarus, which is caused by the difficult epidemiological situation in these countries.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers extended the lockdown until June 22. It has also been decided to begin the second phase of quarantine easing starting from May 22.
