The Armed Forces of Ukraine have assured that there is currently no threat of intrusion into Ukraine by the Russian Federation. This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev on the air of the ICTV TV channel, RBC reports.
"Nevertheless, the Ukrainian army is preparing for every scenario ... The Armed Forces of Ukraine are working out plans to respond to all military threats from Russia, including threats in the Crimean direction," Nayev said.
The army receives daily information about Russia’s Armed Forces, their presence, accumulation, and increase in numbers.
As we reported earlier, Russia has recently deployed about 87,000 troops to the region that is bordering with Ukraine.
"In total, the number of ground forces of Russia's Armed Forces deployed along the border of Ukraine is about 87,000 servicemen, up to 1,100 tanks, up to 2,600 armored combat vehicles, up to 1,100 artillery systems, up to 360 volley fire rocket systems and 18 tactical ballistic missile systems," head of the Main Directorate for International Cooperation and Verification of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant-General Leonid Holopatiuk reported.
