Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak stated that there was a possibility of the resumption of local hostilities in Donbas. He announced this during a meeting of the leaders of the Armed Forces of the Visegrad Group countries, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported.
"There is a full and comprehensive ceasefire on the demarcation line in Donbas. Its introduction has significantly reduced the enemy's fire activity, but a possibility of the resumption of local hostilities still remains," Khomchak said.
In this context, Khomchak stressed the importance of further international support for Ukraine in countering Russia's illegal activities as well as Ukraine's interaction with NATO and the EU.
As we reported earlier, yesterday, on September 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially removed Vitold Fokin from the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Donbas.
It was noted that Vitold Fokin "deviated from a fair assessment of Russia's temporary occupation of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine."
