Ukrainian side will not stop working on the release of all Ukrainian citizens imprisoned in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas, Crimea and the Russian Federation. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a speech at the Munich Security Conference, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, the trend of the exchange of held persons should be continued for the sake of a specific goal - release according to the “all for all” formula.
“We cannot stop while more than two hundred Ukrainians are still being held in inhuman conditions in the temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donbas. And more than a hundred Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are being held in Crimea and in the Russian Federation,” the president said.
Earlier Zelensky announced his readiness for dialogue with the population that lives in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but not with the so-called ‘power’ in occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk region. He made the corresponding statement during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.
The Ukrainian leader noted that “complete silence” in the Donbas has not yet been ensured.
"In almost two months, more than 400 attacks on Ukrainian positions were recorded, as a result of which Ukrainian troops continue to die," - Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that effective mechanisms are needed, according to which a ceasefire will occur "not in words, but in real life."
