Ukraine transferred 237 detained prisoners out of 306 to the pro-Russian militants because they refused to return to the occupied Donbas during the exchange. Viktor Medvedchuk, the representative of Ukraine at the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group claimed this to UA: First as TASS reported.
‘Ukraine transfer 237 people out of 306 planned. Other refused or were released’, he said.
‘There were the refuses from the exchange during the last days and it happened even during the exchange today. We transferred 73 people instead of 75 because two persons refused at the demarcation line’, Medvedchuk added.
According to him, 40 people were released and 29 refused from the exchange.
Earlier it was reported that 68 people that were detained by the pro-Kremlin militants were released today near Horlivka.
Earlier we reported that Ukraine and Donbas militants have finished exchanging prisoners. 74 Ukrainians were exchanged, as planned.
