Ukraine to stop electricity supply to occupied Luhansk region from April 25

Luhansk energy association (LEO) is planning to turn off the electricity in the occupied part of the Luhansk region on April 25. This was reported by the director general of the LEO Volodymyr Hrytsay on air of Luhansk regional TV.

“From April 25 the electricity for the occupied territories will be completely suspended. Our technical services will do certain works and from 00:00 of from April 25 the electricity has to be completely cut off,” Hrytsay said.

According to him, LEO received documents from Energorynok enterprise signed by the Minister of Energy Ihor Nasalyk that from that date the electricity supply to the territory that is not controlled by Ukraine will be fully suspended.

It Is worth mentioning that Popasna water utility is among the facilities that receive electricity from Luhansk energy association (LEO).

Earlier it was reported that Mariinka, Donetsk region were partially cut off from electricity due to shelling on April 21. An unexploded 120 mm mine stuck in the middle of a yard in a living quarter.
