The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine crossed over to the strengthened work regime for New Year and Christmas holidays at the border and demarcation line in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict as the press service of the service reported.
According to the State Border Guard Service, the number of the duties was increased and the forces of the National Police and local authorities were involved in the provision of the security.
'The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the law enforcement forces of the allied countries assumed all possible measures to provide the comfortable, safe and maximally fast crossing of the state border by the citizens. The number of the border duties was increased; the service dogs and all possible technical equipment were attracted for this. The safety at the state border and maximally comfortable conditions for the crossing of the border during the holidays are the priority for the border guards', the message said.
Also, the additional measures will be assumed in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict for the fight against terrorism.
'The special attention is drawn to the work of the checkpoints that are situated at the demarcation line in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict among the whole border. The events for the strengthening of the fight against the terrorism take place there and the detachments of the State Border Guard Service are ready to respond to any possible attack. The twenty four-seven monitoring of the situation is held for the immediate respond and the staff of the detachments is provided with all needed', the message said.
Moreover, it is reported that the checkpoints in Donbas and the administrative border with Crimea will work as usual during the holidays.
Earlier it was reported about 10,000 law enforcers will keep order during the New Year and Christmas holidays in Ukraine.
