During the debates in the French Senate on October 13, Senator Nathalie Goulet announced that the Ukrainian authorities are blocking the implementation of the Normandy format agreement. It is reported by Strana.

"Peace can be ensured only through the implementation of the agreements reached, in particular, in relation to Donbas. As for Ukraine's implementation of the Normandy format agreements and the adoption of the Steinmeier formula, the Ukrainian government, that is, the president, is blocking the process, since the relevant law has not been adopted," Nathalie Goulet said.

According to the Minister of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune, both sides (both Ukraine and Russia) are not taking all the necessary steps.

At the same time, he fully agrees with Nathalie Goulet that Ukraine should demonstrate much greater progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements than is happening now.

Earlier, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland called her meeting with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak, who is also a participant in the Normandy format at the advisory level, as "productive".

"We had a productive discussion with Dmitry Kozak about our shared interests, along with those of Ukraine, France, and Germany, in the full implementation of the Minsk Agreements," the message says.
