Ukraine returns 24 km2 of territory during Joint Forces Operation

Around 24 m2 of the territory were returned to Ukraine including three settlements (Khutir Vilny, Pivdenne, Shumy) during the Joint Forces Operation, as Joint Forces Commander Sergiy Nayev, said, the press office of JFO reported on Facebook.

Nayev added that the format of the operation also provided conduction of law enforcement and humanitarian activities and implementation of comprehensive projects on the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and creation of the conditions for the further peaceful life of the population in the region.

“One of our main accomplishments would be forcing the enemy to reduce the intensity of the fire and, as a result, fewer casualties among our soldiers,” the message reads.

Anti-terrorist operation was replaced with Joint Forces Operation on April 30, 2018.
