Head of the Ukrainian delegation in Minsk trilateral contact group Leonid Kravchuk offered OSCE representative and head of political subgroup Pierre Morrel to develop the united document about the solution of Donbas conflict. Press office of the Ukrainian delegation in Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) reported that on Thursday.
"The development of the unified document approved by leaders of the Normandy Four is the main beacon for further work of the TCG. According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, if one approaches the process of consultations from this position, the TCG will have every chance to switch to more constructive steps to execute the decisions approved within the agreements since 2014", reads the message.
"The plan of joint steps" prepared by Ukraine foresees that Russian troops must be withdrawn from Donbas, OSCE mission must be increased, and control over the country's state border must be passed handed over to the Ukrainian government.
The Russian side insists that provision about "special status" of Donbas is added to the Constitution of Ukraine. Moscow also demands to hold local elections in the occupied territories before the control over Ukraine's state border is handed over to Ukrainian authorities.
