Ukraine does not intend to derogate from the Minsk format of settling the conflict in Donbas and abandon the Minsk agreements. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov on the talk show "Right to Power", RBC Ukraine reports.
"The Ukrainian authorities will not and does not plan to retreat from the Minsk format, because this is a political and diplomatic commitment made by Ukraine in 2014-2015. Our Normandy partners, Germany and France, insist on it and warn that we stick to a single working platform of the Trilateral; Contact Group," Reznikov said.
At the same time, the official noted that the Minsk agreements had to be revised.
"Today they are fragile and that is why they should be revised and modernized. We need to sit down at the negotiating table and honestly say - these points will never work," he noted.
As we reported earlier, representatives of France and Norway in the UN claimed their support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and asked Russia to respect the Minsk agreements.
