Ukraine has appealed to the OSCE representatives with the request to support the initiative of Ukraine on gathering of an urgent meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group to discuss issues of ceasefire and return to strict fulfillment of agreements reached on July 22, 2020.
The Ukrainian delegation stated that since the last meeting held on March 30, a civilian was wounded in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region as a result of the attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Moreover, three military men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died due to the hostile attacks; four others received combat wounds and traumas.
“These gross violations of the ceasefire amid the unprecedented enhancing of force grouping of the Russian Federation near the state border of Ukraine and war rhetoric of the representatives of occupied Donbas cause deep concern of the political leadership of Ukraine and international partners,” the message said.
Recently, the escalation is observed in the zone of Donbas Conflict. During the past 24 hours, the militants violated the ceasefire seven times and two Ukrainian military men were killed.
On April 5, during a telephone conversation, Zelensky told British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the aggravation of the situation in Donbas, the build-up of the Russian military contingent near the Ukrainian-Russian border and Russia's attempts to disrupt the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
