The process of removal of all types of weapons, including tanks, artillery, and mortars in eastern Ukraine is already finished, UNN. "We have taken back completely everything that was proscribed by the Minsk agreement," said Leonid Matyuhin, the ATO spokesman.
He also was quick to add that the state of removal of weapons could be legally completed in Donbas only after verification by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. The verification of the mortars withdrawal will take place from 10th to 12th November.
"It is important to say that we have drawn back our mortars with a caliber less than 100 mm; and yesterday our soldiers were fired with the same mortars," noted Matyuhin.
Meanwhile, the armed provocations take palce across the boundary line, as reported by the ATO press center.
In Luhansk direction in the area of Shchastia militants used rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns. In Donetsk region, the rebels were storming Pisky, Opytne, and Krasnohorivka were targeted with BMP-2. Russian-backed militants also used mortars with caliber 82 mm, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements. One Ukrainian soldier got injured as a result of the skirmish.
