Kyiv hopes for tangible progress in terms of the solution of Donbas conflict after the meeting of the Normandy Four leaders in Paris. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko said so during the press conference with his German counterpart Heiko Maas.
"We hope to make the real progress during this meeting - the progress that we've been waiting for since 2016 when the last meeting in the Normandy format took place", Prystaiko said.
He admitted that the Ukrainian delegation prepares for the meeting in Paris "with open ideas and with an open mind", "ready to accept a reasonable trad-off and bring home the progress that we've been longing for so much time".
Heiko Maas added that it's about time that Russia lives up to its commitments in terms of the solution of the Donbas conflict. He said people in Donbas needed the ceasefire modem and they deserve it because it's necessary to restore the infrastructure in the region.
