The first Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk in his interview to 112 Ukraine TV channel  said that Ukraine does not need to renew its nuclear potential.

"Just imagine that our nuclear weapons is valid, and we produced it here, we should restore it, and we have everything for this. Nuclear weapons actually were produced in Russia, in Arzamas. All warheads, 165 -are strategic, and each was carrying 5 charges, in total 700, all directed at the US and expire date is 1997.

In 1997, it was necessary to remove the warheads and where to send? In Russia. It is far-fetched chimera, and now people are speculating on this. The only way was - to give nuclear weapons back. And the only way for mankind is - to stop the manufacture of nuclear weapons ", said Kravchuk.
