Ukraine allocates $600,000 into one-time assistance to Donbas anti-terrorist operation victims

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 16,284,700 hryvnias (591,289 USD) to provide one-time financial assistance to victims of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas, the government portal reports.

This amount will be distributed among the families of the three fallen soldiers and the 22 victims who received a disability as a result of injury, contusion, mutilation or disease received during the anti-terrorist operation:

- members of the families of the three deceased people - 4,192,500 hryvnias (152 thousand USD);

- 22 persons with disabilities - 12,092,200 hryvnias (9 persons (group II) - 5,400,700 hryvnias (196 thousand USD), 13 persons (group III) - 6,691,500 hryvnias (243 thousand USD)).

The funds will be allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget on the basis of lists approved by the Interdepartmental Commission for Review of Materials on Recognition of Participation in Combat Operations, which operates under the Ministry of Veterans.

As it was reported, the amount of one-time assistance provided to servicemen when signing the first contract will increase in Ukraine from January 1, 2022. To assign the payment, the serviceman writes a report addressed to the commander after the entry into force of the first contract and the beginning of the duties on the basis of the order.
