On January 28, Russian mercenaries landed nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. Two servicemen of Ukraine's government forces were injured as they stepped on a landmine. This is mentioned on the Facebook page of Joint Forces Operation HQ. 

"The enemy shelled our positions from the Minsk-banned 120 and 82 mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms... On January 28, two servicemen of the Joint Forces sustained combat wounds due to the explosion of a non-specified explosive device", reads the message.

Three attacks took place in Donetsk region - twice in Lebedynske and once in Berezove. In Lebedynske, the Russian bandits fired 82 mm mines. In Luhansk region, militants opened fire in Novouhanske, Orikhova and Novotoshkivske. A number of mines and rocket-propelled grenades landed in Novotoshkivske.

Earlier, Valentina Kazakova, the head of the Main Directorate for Migration of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs claimed that last year, Russian passports were given to 227,000 inhabitants of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
