The current armed conflict in eastern Ukraine is actually the worst war in Europe since the Yugoslavian crisis in the 1990s. Kurt Volker, the U.S. Envoy in Ukraine's affairs said that as quoted by Ukrinform news agency.
'The situation that has been dealing damage to the population of Eastern Ukraine is still horrible. This is the war that goes on in Europe. It already led to a huge number of deaths since the War in the Balkans in the 1990s, and it led to a huge number of refugees emerging due to the war in Europe - more than ever since WWII', Volker claimed.
