Situation in ATO zone remains complicated, with escalation in separate parts of delimitation line. Russia-backed terrorist forces did not stop firing on Ukrainian defenders, expanding their weapons arsenal banned by Minsk agreement and resorting to more criminal acts toward local residents and infrastructure of the frontline territories. Thus, enemy violated ceasefire 58 times by attacking positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces, firing two times on residential areas of the frontline settlement, and attacking important infrastructural object one time. Two Ukrainian military officers were killed, five more got wounded in ATO zone as a result of hostilities. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.
Most of the attacks were recorded in Mariupol direction, where militants fired 36 times. Banned 120 mm mortars were repeatedly used by Russia-backed occupation forces near Bohdanivka. Same type of weaponry and 122 mm artillery was fired at Chermalyk. Intensive fire from tank cannons, IFV weaponry and other arms was recorded near Krasnohorivka. Enemy systematically attacked Vodiane, Hnutove, Novotroitske and Talakivka using small arms and grenade launchers. Other Ukrainian strongholds near Marinka and Krasnohorivka were shelled from 82 mm mortars. By the way, several enemy projectiles hit the residential quarters in Krasnohorivka once again, as a result of which one civilian got wounded.
In Donetsk direction, illegal armed groups attacked 12 times. Most attacks went in the vicinity of Avdiivka. Enemy used 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various modifications and small arms. Militants also attacked Ukrainian strongholds using 82 mm mortars near Verkhnyotoretske and Zaytseve. Bandits fired IFV weaponry, grenade launchers and small arms near Novoluhanske. Nevelske suffered fire from portable anti-tank grenade launchers.
Beyond that, Russia-backed terrorist groups shelled Donetsk filtration plant from 120 mm mortars. Circumstances and consequences of this attack are currently being specified.
In Luhansk direction, 10 attacks were recorded in total. Militants fired 120 mm mortars at Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka. Grenade launchers and small arms of various caliber were repeatedly fired at strongholds near Novozvanivka, Malynove, Krymske and Stanytsia Luhanska. Bandits also used IFV weaponry near Stanytsia Luhanska and Krymske against Ukrainian fighters.
