Over the past 24 hours, the combat activity in Joint Forces Operation zone was high, as Maksym Prauta, the Spokesperson of the Defence Ministry said at the briefing.

In Luhansk sector, two attacks were recorded.

The enemy was conducting fire from automatic grenade launchers at Ukrainian positions near Pivnichne.

The defence works of Joint Forces units came under fire from grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns near Zaitseve.

In Donetsk sector, nine attacks were performed.

In particular, Russian occupant troops performed attacks at the Ukrainian positions near Opytne, using 82mm mortars.

In addition, the militants shot at Ukrainian emplacements near Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Nevelske, Chermalyk, Slavne and Novomykhaylivka. They fired grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded.  

Today, on December 12, Russian occupation troops performed three adjusted attacks (as of 11 a.m.).

In Luhansk sector, the enemy shot at Ukrainian positions near Krymske from 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns at around 6 a.m.

The enemy committed a firing provocation using heavy machine guns near Taramchuk in Donetsk sector.

Besides, the occupants used mounted and rocket-propelled grenade launchers during a morning attack near Avdiivka.

No casualties among the Joint Forces staff were reported.

The Defence Ministry noted that the situation in Donbas combat zone remains under the control of the Ukrainian military.
