Two Ukrainian soldiers die in Joint Forces Operation zone in a battle with a subversive group, four were injured, as the press office of the 24th brigade named after Danylo King reported in Facebook.
It was noted that today on May 21 at around 5 am enemy’s secret subversive group consisting of ten people was found near Pivdenne village, which was recently released by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The brigade’s anti-sabotage reserve propelled to intercept the subversive group, having halted its moving and flung back the enemy from Armed Forces positions. As a result, the enemy sustained casualties and hiding behind the mortar fire from its batteries, had to drop back,” the message says.
Besides, the representatives of the press office stated that as a result of the battles two Ukrainian soldiers die.
“One of them (of the dead) – Andry Maslov, the commander of the anti-sabotage group. As the deputy, he headed the unit after Volodymyr Mayborod died, continuing implementing the traditions of this group. Four soldiers suffered shrapnel wounds, they were taken to the hospital, where they receive a professional medical care,” the representatives of the press office added.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian servicemen released Pivdenne village, Donetsk region. It was noted that starting from May 8 the militants are attacking the 24th brigade units at times trying to move them outside Pivdenne village.
