Since the day began, Russian mercenaries attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas eight times. That resulted in combat injuries for two Ukrainian soldiers. The Defense Ministry's press office reported this on Thursday.

In the Luhansk region, the enemy opened fire from 120 mm mortars; 35 mines landed near Orikhove. The militants also used mounted anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Four 82 mm mines hit the vicinities of Khutir Vilny.

In the Donetsk region, an enemy sniper attacked Ukrainian military emplacements near Chermalyk. Near Mariinka, Novotroitske and Hnutove, illegal armed gangs also opened fire from grenade launchers, mortars, and small arms.
